Yacht-Master 37 268622 specifications
The calibre row is the one to read twice. Unlike the 40 mm Yacht-Masters, this model uses calibre 2236 with a silicon hairspring, which affects both power reserve and how a watchmaker authenticates it.

History and reference evolution
When Rolex launched Rolesium in 1999, it did so in three sizes at once. Alongside the 40 mm 16622 came a 35 mm mid-size, the 168622, and a 29 mm ladies' model. In other words, the Yacht-Master was never only a big sports watch. Rolex intended it as a family that could be shared across wrists, and even between partners.
The 35 mm 168622
The 168622 was the first mid-size Rolesium Yacht-Master. It shared the platinum-bezel idea of the 40 mm watch, but on a smaller case. However, mid-size watches fell out of fashion in the 2000s. As tastes moved to larger cases, the 168622 became something of an overlooked reference. It is still a pleasant vintage-modern find today.
The move to 37 mm and calibre 2236
The Rolex Yacht-Master 37 268622 replaced it around 2016 to 2017; sources disagree on the exact launch year. Rolex grew the case from 35 mm to 37 mm, which made it more convincing as a unisex sports watch. The bezel kept the Rolesium formula: solid 950 platinum, sand-blasted, with polished raised numerals. The current dial is slate, a dark rhodium grey that blends with the bezel.
The bigger change was the movement. The 268622 uses calibre 2236, with a power reserve of 55 hours. Its Syloxi hairspring is made of silicon; Rolex introduced it in 2014 with calibre 2236 itself. Silicon resists magnetism and temperature changes, and Rolex shapes it with a geometry designed to keep the watch accurate in any position. The movement is certified as a Superlative Chronometer.
Why the history affects value
Because the 37 mm size is a niche, the 268622 has never attracted waitlist hype. That has two effects. First, it tends to trade a little under list. Second, clean examples are not as plentiful as 40 mm ones, so the right watch can take time to find. For a buyer, the first point helps more than the second hurts.

The last US list price we hold for the Yacht-Master 37 268622 is US$12,500. US authorised-dealer listings did not show it when we checked in October 2026, so treat it as indicative. Excellent pre-owned full sets trade at US$11,000 – US$12,600, a modest discount. In Malaysia, a single retailer lists RM53,900. A used piece therefore saves a few thousand ringgit, rather than tens of thousands.
What drives a 268622's value
The full set matters most. A box and dated card typically add 8 to 15%, and they matter more on a less-traded reference because buyers have fewer comparables. Read our box and papers guide before you negotiate.
Next comes the platinum bezel. On a 37 mm watch the raised numerals are smaller and finer, so a knock or an over-polished bezel is easy to spot. Similarly, an unpolished case with crisp lug edges commands a premium. Finally, the size itself limits demand. Fewer buyers search for a 37 mm Yacht-Master, so resale can take longer, and dealers price that in.
How to read the market for the 37 mm
Ask an authorised retailer first. In Kuala Lumpur the Yacht-Master 37 is generally obtainable, so the boutique quote sets the ceiling. Grey dealers then price below list. Because listings are thin, Chrono24-style marketplace asks can be scattered; compare at least five before deciding. Our used Rolex prices guide explains why asking prices overstate real sales. Furthermore, when buying from Singapore or Hong Kong, budget for any import charges on the way back to Malaysia.
Too-cheap warning
Be suspicious of any Yacht-Master 37 268622 full set offered for less than about US$9,500 (roughly RM39,000). That is at the floor of the genuine no-papers band. Below it, you are usually looking at a replica, a watch with non-original parts, or one with a missing service history and a hidden fault.
Genuine vs replica: how to check a 268622
Mid-size Rolex replicas are less common than 40 mm ones. Even so, they exist, and their proportions are often the weak point. Use our real vs fake Rolex guide as the base checklist, then add these points.
Proportions and the platinum bezel
On a genuine 268622, the bezel, dial and hands are scaled precisely for 37 mm. Replicas sometimes reuse parts from larger watches, so the hands can look too long or the markers too crowded. Next, inspect the bezel. Its ground should be evenly sand-blasted, with crisp polished numerals standing proud. It should also turn both ways with firm, matching clicks. In addition, the Triplock crown sits between crown guards and should screw down smoothly.
Genuine: rehaut engraving alignment
- Each engraved crown and letter lines up with its minute marker
- Engraving is crisp, even in depth, and readable at 12 o'clock
- Serial number engraved on the rehaut at 6 on modern pieces
Warning signs
- Letters drift between markers as they go around the ring
- Shallow, sandy-looking or uneven engraving
- Serial at 6 printed rather than engraved, or wrong format
Date, lens and seconds hand
The Cyclops on the 268622 is smaller than on the 40 mm watch, yet it still magnifies about 2.5 times. Many replicas use a weaker lens, so the date looks small. Also, look for the laser-etched coronet in the crystal above 6 o'clock. Then watch the seconds hand. Calibre 2236 beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour, so the sweep looks smooth, with small, rapid steps.
Genuine: seconds-hand sweep
- 28,800 vph: eight small steps per second, reads as a smooth glide on video
- Steady amplitude, no stutter when the watch is tilted
- A quiet, fine-grained ticking close to the ear
Warning signs
- Visibly choppier steps (often 21,600 vph or slower)
- A single one-second tick means a quartz movement
- Loud, rattly rotor noise when the watch is shaken
Genuine: cyclops magnification
- Date fills the lens edge to edge
- Numerals stay sharp right to the lens rim
- Lens sits centred over the date window
Warning signs
- Date looks small, with a visible margin
- Lens slightly off-centre or bubbled
- Strong blue anti-glare tint on top of the lens
What only a watchmaker can confirm
This reference has one movement tell that is easy to miss. Calibre 2236 uses a silicon Syloxi hairspring, not the blue Parachrom hairspring of the 3235. So if a watchmaker opens a supposed 268622 and finds a blue hairspring or an unfamiliar layout, something is wrong. They should also confirm the calibre markings, the finish on the bridges and the originality of the dial and hands. Any reputable Malaysian watchmaker who handles Rolex regularly can run these checks for a modest fee.
Who the 268622 suits, and the alternatives
The Yacht-Master 37 268622 suits wrists of roughly 14 to 17 cm (5.5 to 6.7 inches), whether a man's or a woman's. It also suits anyone who wants a Rolex sports watch that feels light and slips under a cuff. Many Malaysian buyers with slimmer wrists find the 40 mm models overwhelming, and this is the obvious answer.
Living with a 37 mm Rolesium
Day to day, the 268622 is an easy watch. The 55-hour reserve means a watch taken off on Friday night is still running on Sunday afternoon. The Easylink extension adds about 5 mm to the bracelet, which helps when wrists swell in the afternoon heat. Moreover, the small case clears shirt cuffs that catch on larger sports models. Because the bezel is platinum rather than ceramic, it will collect small marks over time. Most owners accept them, but avoid having it refinished unless the damage is serious. Some couples also pair it with the 40 mm Rolesium model, since the two share the same bezel and dial palette.
Alternatives worth trying on
If you want the same Rolesium look in a larger size, step up to the Yacht-Master 40 126622. Alternatively, a dressier 36 mm option with a fluted white-gold bezel is the Datejust 36 126234. For a simpler, cheaper steel watch, the Explorer 36 124270 is worth trying. And if you are deciding between this family and a diver, our Yacht-Master vs Submariner comparison sets out the differences. The full range is on the Yacht-Master collection page.

268622 FAQ
Is the Yacht-Master 37 a men's or women's watch?
Both. Rolex does not label it by gender, and 37 mm sits between classic men's and women's sizes. On wrists of about 14 to 17 cm it looks proportionate, and many men with slimmer wrists prefer it to the 40 mm model. In practice, it is the Yacht-Master for anyone who finds 40 mm too much.
What movement is in the Yacht-Master 37 268622?
It uses calibre 2236, a self-winding Rolex movement with date and a 55-hour power reserve. Its key feature is the Syloxi hairspring, made from silicon rather than the blue Parachrom alloy used in the larger 3235. Silicon is light, stable in temperature and insensitive to magnetism. The watch is certified as a Superlative Chronometer after casing.
Is the 268622 cheaper than the Yacht-Master 40?
Slightly. The last US list price we have is US$12,500 against US$13,200 for the Yacht-Master 40 126622. Pre-owned, the 37 mm usually costs around US$1,000 to US$2,000 less in comparable condition. Because demand for mid-size watches is narrower, it also tends to sit a little further below its list price.
How much is the Yacht-Master 37 in Malaysia?
One Malaysian authorised retailer listed the 268622 at RM53,900 in October 2026, which we have not yet confirmed at a second source. Pre-owned full sets in excellent condition convert to roughly RM45,000 to RM51,000. Since the watch is usually obtainable at retail, check with a boutique before paying close to list for a used piece.
Does the Yacht-Master 37 have a date?
Yes. It shows the date at 3 o'clock under a Cyclops lens. The lens is scaled to the smaller crystal but still magnifies the date about 2.5 times. That is a useful authentication point, because replicas of mid-size Rolex models often get the magnification or position of the Cyclops wrong.
