Rolex Yacht-Master Price Guide & Models (2026)

Rolex Yacht-Master price, models and buying advice in one place: eight references from the 37 mm Rolesium to the new Yacht-Master II, with US$ and RM retail and pre-owned values for October 2026.

What defines the Yacht-Master

The Yacht-Master arrived in 1992 as a sports watch for sailors, not divers. In practice, it is a Submariner cousin with a dressier finish. It has a 100 m rating, a bezel that turns both ways and, in most versions, a precious-metal bezel. In 1999 Rolex added Rolesium, steel paired with a platinum bezel, which became the line's best-known look. Since then, it has also grown into a family of metals and sizes. Today you can buy it in Rolesium, Everose Rolesor, solid Everose, white gold and RLX titanium.

Who buys it? Typically, someone who wants a modern Rolex sports watch without the Submariner's waitlist and ubiquity. Consequently, the Rolex Yacht-Master price story is unusual: several references trade at or below list, which makes this a buyer's collection.

Retail is the current (or last) US list price. Pre-owned bands are rounded market ranges for October 2026; MYR ≈ USD × 4.08.

The table shows a split Yacht-Master price market. Rolesium models sit near list, and the gold references trade 20 to 30% under it. Meanwhile, titanium and the new Yacht-Master II carry premiums. Our used Rolex prices guide explains how we build these bands.

Yacht-Master vs Yacht-Master II

The names suggest a sequel, yet the two are different watches. The Yacht-Master is a time-and-date watch. By contrast, the Yacht-Master II is a 44 mm regatta chronograph. Specifically, it counts down the minutes before a sailing race start, and it has no date.

The gold version arrived in 2007, and the steel Yacht-Master II 116680 followed in 2013. Its calibre 4161 used the Ring Command bezel to program a countdown of one to ten minutes, with a mechanical memory. Rolex discontinued it in 2024. Then, at Watches & Wonders 2026, the Yacht-Master II 126680 arrived with a new calibre 4162. It uses a column wheel and vertical clutch, and the countdown is now set with the pushers rather than the bezel. A yellow gold 126688 sits alongside it.

Which Yacht-Master to buy

For value retention at a sensible Yacht-Master price, the Rolesium Yacht-Master 40 126622 is the safest choice, because it trades close to its list price. For the lowest cost per gram of gold, look at a pre-owned Everose 126655 or white gold 226659; both sell far below retail. On the other hand, paying a premium for the titanium 226627 or the 126680 only makes sense if you cannot wait for an allocation.

Buying a Yacht-Master in Malaysia

Rolex sells through authorised retailers in Malaysia, including Cortina Watch and The Hour Glass. Most Yacht-Masters are easier to obtain there than steel Submariners or GMTs. Malaysian list prices are quoted tax-inclusive, whereas US list prices exclude sales tax. So they convert above US list at 4.08 ringgit per dollar. That is why a Yacht-Master price in ringgit can look high against US figures. Grey dealers in KL usually set a used Yacht-Master price below list for Rolesium and gold models. However, they ask a premium for the titanium and the new Yacht-Master II.

Authentication notes for the collection

Every modern Yacht-Master shares a set of checks: a laser-etched coronet at 6 o'clock, an engraved rehaut with the serial, and a Triplock crown with guards. The time-and-date models add a 2.5x Cyclops, and their bezels click firmly both ways. Beyond that, however, the metal is the key. Platinum, Everose and titanium are hard to fake cheaply, so plated or wrong-coloured parts are common giveaways. The master checklist lives in our real vs fake Rolex guide, and each reference page adds its own tells.

Yacht-Master FAQ

Is the Yacht-Master a good investment?

Mostly no, and that is good news for wearers. The 40 mm and 37 mm Rolesium models trade close to list, while the gold references sell well below it. The exceptions are the titanium 226627 and the new Yacht-Master II 126680, which trade above list because supply is tight. Premiums like these can fade, so buy the watch you want to wear.

What is the difference between the Yacht-Master and the Yacht-Master II?

The Yacht-Master is a time-and-date sports watch with a bidirectional 60-minute bezel, in 37, 40 and 42 mm. The Yacht-Master II is a 44 mm regatta chronograph with a programmable countdown of up to ten minutes for timing a sailing race start. It is larger, more complicated and has no date. They share a name and a nautical theme, but little else.

Which Yacht-Master is easiest to buy at retail?

The Rolesium 126622 and 268622 and the two-tone 126621 are generally the easiest to obtain at authorised retailers, including in Kuala Lumpur. The gold 126655 and 226659 can usually be ordered too. The hardest are the titanium 226627 and the new steel Yacht-Master II 126680, both of which trade well above list on the secondary market.

How much is a Rolex Yacht-Master in Malaysia?

Confirmed Malaysian list prices in October 2026 run from RM57,200 for the Yacht-Master 40 126622 to RM173,500 for the white gold Yacht-Master 42 226659. The titanium 226627 lists at RM69,700 and the steel Yacht-Master II 126680 at RM87,700. Pre-owned prices for the gold models sit well under their ringgit list prices.

Which Yacht-Master size should I choose?

As a rough guide, wrists under about 16.5 cm (6.5 in) suit the 37 mm 268622. Wrists from 16 to 19 cm suit the 40 mm models, and 18 cm and above carry the 42 mm references and the 44 mm Yacht-Master II comfortably. Thickness and lug length matter too, so try them on before you commit. Our first Rolex buying guide covers sizing in more depth.
