Rolex Oyster Perpetual Price Guide & Models (2026)

Rolex Oyster Perpetual prices start at US$6,200 for the 28 mm and reach US$9,650 for the 2026 centenary 41; this guide compares all seven references, new and pre-owned, in USD and ringgit.

What defines the Oyster Perpetual

The OP is Rolex reduced to its basics. In short, every model has a waterproof Oyster case, a self-winding movement, a smooth domed bezel and no date. There is no rotating bezel, no second time zone and no Cyclops lens. As a result, it is the least expensive way into a new Rolex. That is also why dealers so often suggest it as a first purchase.

The name joins two inventions: the screw-down Oyster case of 1926 and the Perpetual rotor of 1931. Fittingly, Rolex marked the case's centenary in 2026 with the gold-bezel 134303. Meanwhile, the line itself has changed fast. In 2020 every size was renewed. Then the bright lacquer dials of that year turned a quiet entry model into a waiting-list watch.

Today the steel OP comes in five sizes: 28, 31, 34, 36 and 41 mm. You can see the full catalogue on Rolex's official Oyster Perpetual page. Inside, the 28, 31 and 34 use calibre 2232 with about 55 hours of reserve. By contrast, the 36 and 41 use calibre 3230 with about 70 hours.

Which OP should you buy?

Best for holding value

The 36 mm 126000 has the broadest demand, because it suits most wrists. Its turquoise and discontinued Celebration dials also hold the strongest premiums in the range. The discontinued 124300 is the other value story. Once Rolex replaced that 41 mm case in 2025, its coral, yellow, turquoise and Celebration dials became fixed in supply.

Easiest to buy at retail

The 28 mm 276200 and the 34 mm 124200 carry the smallest premiums. Similarly, silver, black and dark blue dials on the 36 and the 41 mm 134300 are among the easier current Rolex to obtain. In practice, buying those dials new from an official retailer usually beats paying a grey premium.

Choosing a size

As a rough guide, 28 and 31 mm suit wrists under 15 cm. Next, 34 mm suits 14 to 17 cm, and 36 mm suits 15 to 18 cm. Finally, 41 mm suits 17 cm and up. Our OP 36 vs 41 comparison covers the most common dilemma. If you are unsure whether you want a date, also read Datejust vs Oyster Perpetual.

Oyster Perpetual price in Malaysia

We confirmed these official Malaysian list prices in October 2026: RM27,150 for the OP 31, RM27,650 for the OP 34 and RM29,050 for the OP 36. The centenary 134303 lists at RM41,750. However, we have not confirmed the RM list for the 28 mm or the steel 41 mm from two retailers. So check those two in a boutique.

Rolex sells through official retailers in Kuala Lumpur and other cities, and waiting times depend on the dial. On the grey market, sellers on Mudah, the Lowyat forum and Chrono24 often quote RM without a dial code. Therefore, always ask for the warranty card first. Many Malaysians also compare prices in Singapore. Still, warranty handling, tax refunds and import rules differ, so compare the full landed cost. Our retail vs market price guide explains how premiums form.

Authentication notes for the whole range

Every OP shares a few basic checks. First, the caseback is plain, screw-down Oystersteel with no window. Second, the rehaut is engraved ROLEX ROLEX with the serial at 6 o'clock, matching the card. In addition, a tiny coronet is etched into the crystal at 6 o'clock. Also, the Chromalight lume glows blue, not green.

The colour dials are the main target, both for outright fakes and for dial swaps on genuine cases. Therefore, check that the dial matches the reference suffix on the warranty card. Then compare the hue with Rolex's own photos. Our real vs fake Rolex guide covers the full process. For context, the used Rolex price guide shows where each OP sits in the wider market.

Oyster Perpetual FAQ

How much is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual?

US list prices in October 2026 run from US$6,200 for the 28 mm 276200 to US$7,050 for the steel 41 mm 134300, and US$9,650 for the gold-bezel 134303. Pre-owned prices are usually higher for the 36 and 41, especially with colour dials.

Is the Oyster Perpetual a real Rolex?

Yes. It is a full Rolex model with an in-house movement, a Superlative Chronometer rating of -2/+2 seconds a day and the same Oyster case construction as the sports models. It is simply the most basic configuration, without a date or tool functions.

Which Oyster Perpetual holds its value best?

The 36 mm 126000 and the discontinued 41 mm 124300 in turquoise, coral or Celebration dials hold the strongest premiums. Core dials and the smaller sizes trade much closer to retail.

Why does the Oyster Perpetual have no date?

A no-date dial is part of what defines the line. Rolex offers the date in the Datejust, which adds a Cyclops lens and usually a fluted or domed bezel option at a higher price.

Is the Oyster Perpetual easy to get in Malaysia?

Easier than most steel Rolex. Silver, black and dark dials are often available within weeks or months from an official retailer. Popular pastel and special dials still take longer.
