Rolex Land-Dweller 127235 specifications
Every external part here is gold, including the bracelet. That changes how the watch wears, ages and resells far more than the 36 mm size does.

History and reference evolution
The 127235 joined the catalogue at Watches & Wonders 2025 with the rest of the collection. So it has no predecessor and no production changes to track. Instead, its back-story is a mix of an old case idea and a new movement.
A gold integrated Rolex, again
Rolex has made integrated gold watches before. The Oysterquartz Day-Date, produced in the 1970s to 2000s, came in solid gold with the angular case and bracelet. That watch sold mainly to established Day-Date buyers. In a similar way, the Everose Land-Dweller sits closer to a dress watch than its steel sibling does.
What Rolex did not carry over is the gold tone. The Oysterquartz gold models were yellow or white gold. Everose, introduced by Rolex in 2005, simply did not exist then. So the 127235 is the first time the integrated shape has appeared in Rolex rose gold.
The movement behind the white dial
Inside is calibre 7135, Rolex's 5 Hz automatic with the Dynapulse escapement. It shows through a sapphire caseback, which suits a gold watch. Buyers at this price often want to see what they paid for. The calibre carries Superlative Chronometer status and 66 hours of reserve.
Why this matters for value
Gold Rolex models generally trade closer to list than steel ones, and the 127235 already follows that pattern. With no older generation, the price has only one anchor: Rolex's own list. Therefore, any future list increase will likely pull pre-owned prices with it, rather than scarcity pushing them up.
127235 pre-owned prices compared
Rolex's US list for the Rolex Land-Dweller 127235 is US$49,400; in Malaysia the boutique figure is RM213,900. WatchCharts put it near US$48,400 in October 2026, about 2% below list. For context, the steel-based 36 mm sits about 26% over list.
| Condition | What it means | USD | MYR (approx.) |

| Unworn, full set | Stickers or barely worn, box, card dated within ~2 years, all tags | US$50,000 – US$54,000 | RM204,000 – RM220,000 |
| Excellent, box & papers | Light wear, unpolished or lightly polished, warranty card present | US$45,000 – US$51,000 | RM184,000 – RM208,000 |
| Good, no papers | Normal wear, watch only or box only, service history helps | US$38,200 – US$46,900 | RM156,000 – RM191,000 |
| Polished or aftermarket parts | Soft case edges, replaced dial/bezel/bracelet, or non-Rolex parts | US$32,400 – US$43,400 | RM132,000 – RM177,000 |

What moves the price of this reference
Condition of the gold matters most. Everose is soft compared with steel, so desk-diving scratches build up on the bracelet's flat surfaces. A polished case loses crisp edges, and the integrated design makes that easy to spot. Therefore, unpolished pieces earn a real premium.
Papers come next. A full set with a recent card supports the top of the band. By contrast, the size matters less here than on steel, because gold buyers choose 36 mm on purpose more often.
Reading a market that sits at list
A near-list market changes how you negotiate. On the steel Land-Dweller, sellers point to a premium. On the Land-Dweller 127235, by contrast, the boutique sets a ceiling that private sellers struggle to beat. So a seller asking above RM213,900 for a worn piece is pricing against nothing. Use that, politely, when you make an offer.
The flip side matters when you sell. Dealers buying a used Land-Dweller 127235 will quote below their own resale asks, because they need margin on a slow-moving gold watch. Expect a dealer offer to land toward the lower bands, not the top.
Where to check prices
Because the market sits near list, the boutique is your best benchmark. Compare dealer asks against RM213,900 first, then against US list converted at 4.08. Gold models from Singapore dealers can be competitive, but factor in any tax due when you bring one home and the lack of a local warranty record. Our used Rolex price guide explains how we set the bands.
Buying a gold Land-Dweller in Malaysia
Gold Rolex models are usually easier to obtain at Malaysian boutiques than steel ones. That is likely true for the Land-Dweller 127235 as well, although Rolex does not publish allocation data. So ask Cortina Watch or The Hour Glass about availability before paying a dealer. If you do buy privately, also ask for the original purchase receipt. For a watch at this price, many insurers will want it, and it also helps when you resell.
In addition, check that all removed bracelet links come with the watch. Gold links cost a great deal to replace, so a missing link lowers what the next buyer will pay for your Land-Dweller 127235.
When a price is too good to be true
Our lowest band, polished or aftermarket, starts at about US$32,400. So an Everose 127235 offered with papers under roughly US$32,000, or RM130,000, deserves suspicion. At that price, the gold content alone makes the deal hard to believe.
Genuine vs replica: how to check a 127235
The biggest risk with a gold Land-Dweller is not a crude fake. Rather, it is a steel clone with gold plating. Our real vs fake Rolex guide explains the full process.
Weight and wear points
Solid Everose feels clearly heavier than steel in the hand. Next, check wear points on the bracelet's underside and clasp. Plating rubs through to grey or silver metal. Genuine gold just scratches and keeps the same colour all the way through.
Caseback and date
Turn it over. The sapphire caseback should show calibre 7135 with clean finishing. Then set the date and watch it change near midnight. A genuine Rolex date jumps quickly rather than creeping over for an hour.
Genuine: caseback
- Solid Oystersteel or gold, fluted edge for the case wrench
- No engraving on most models (some are factory-engraved, e.g. Sea-Dweller and Deepsea)
- Display backs are factory-fitted only on certain models (e.g. some Daytona, 1908, Land-Dweller)
Warning signs
- Exhibition window on a model Rolex makes with a solid back
- Stickers or decorative engravings sold as 'factory'
- Back that turns too easily or sits proud of the case
Genuine: date change behaviour
- Date snaps over within a minute or two of midnight
- Hands set back past midnight do not drag the date backwards
- Quick-set date clicks crisply in crown position 2
Warning signs
- Date starts moving around 22:00 and creeps until after midnight
- Half-turned date visible in the window for hours
- Quick-set feels gritty or needs several tries
Genuine: rehaut engraving alignment
- Each engraved crown and letter lines up with its minute marker
- Engraving is crisp, even in depth, and readable at 12 o'clock
- Serial number engraved on the rehaut at 6 on modern pieces
Warning signs
- Letters drift between markers as they go around the ring
- Shallow, sandy-looking or uneven engraving
- Serial at 6 printed rather than engraved, or wrong format
What only a watchmaker can confirm
A watchmaker or jeweller can test the case metal, often with an XRF analyser, to confirm 18 kt gold. A case-off inspection then confirms calibre 7135 and the Dynapulse escapement. Ask for a timing reading at 36,000 vph. Finally, check the warranty card against the serial using our box and papers guide.
Who the 127235 suits, and the alternatives
Pick this one if you like the idea of an all-gold Rolex but find 40 mm cases too much. It also suits someone who values a quiet, warm colour over the cooler look of white gold.
Living with Everose in Malaysia
Gold handles humidity and sweat well, so daily wear in Malaysia is no problem. However, flat polished surfaces show scratches. Many owners accept that and only ask for a light refinish at service. On the wrist, it fits the same 15–17 cm range as the steel 36. Servicing goes through Rolex's Kuala Lumpur service centre; see our service and value guide.
Alternatives
For the same metal in a bigger case, look at the Land-Dweller 40 127335. For a gold 36 mm Rolex with a long resale record, compare the Day-Date 36 128235 in Everose. For an overview of every reference, see our Land-Dweller collection page.

127235 FAQ
Is the Land-Dweller 127235 solid gold?
Yes. The case, fluted bezel and Flat Jubilee bracelet are all 18 kt Everose gold, Rolex's own rose gold alloy. Only the movement parts, crystal and some internal pieces are other materials. That is why it costs roughly three times the White Rolesor 127234 at retail.
Does Everose gold fade?
Rolex developed Everose to keep its colour, adding a small amount of platinum to the alloy to stabilise the pink tone. Older rose gold from other makers could fade or turn brassy, especially with chlorine and sweat. Everose is designed to resist that, though polishing still removes metal.
Should I buy the 127235 new or pre-owned?
With WatchCharts near US$48,400 against a US$49,400 list in October 2026, pre-owned saves little. A boutique purchase in Malaysia at RM213,900 gives a fresh five-year warranty. Pre-owned only makes sense if a seller is clearly below list and the watch has papers.
How much does the Everose Land-Dweller 36 cost in Malaysia?
Malaysian authorised dealers list the 127235 at RM213,900 in October 2026. Pre-owned full sets in excellent condition convert to roughly RM183,600–208,100 on our bands. Unworn full sets can ask slightly above that, while polished pieces sell for noticeably less.
Is the 127235 too heavy for daily wear?
It is heavier than the steel version because gold is far denser than steel, and the bracelet is gold too. Rolex does not publish an official weight. In practice the 36 mm size keeps it manageable, and many owners wear it daily. Try one on before deciding.
